What I Do

I’ve worked for MongoDB for about 18 months now, as a Consulting Engineer. I support MongoDB customers via training, Dev and Ops recommendations, imparting of Best Practices, design reviews, creation of playbooks and runbooks. Sometimes I’m a Systems dude, sometimes I’m a database gentleman. All this is done at times with a Coding hat on, sometimes with a DBA hat on, sometimes with the hat of a SysAdmin.

And sometimes it’s just being the fresh pair of eyes.

Before this I spent o(decades) at Sun Microsystems and Oracle in various capacities. Yes, I remember the 80s. Be afraid.
